Local activities
 Full details for all local attractions are available from the Tourist Information Centre in the main Car Park near the Green. The TIC is open 9am-5.30pm daily from April-October; between November and March it is open 9am-12.30pm Mon-Sat; tel 01456/459076.
 Cycling: Balnain Freeride
The Glen Urquhart Bike Park is the equivalent of a skateboard park for bikes, set in woodlands off the A831 just before the village of Balnain in Glen Urquhart. It was constructed as a "North Shore" facility by the 10 Glens MTB crew with plenty of local help and input.

 Snowsports in Scotland
The Lecht, Cairngorm, Nevis Range and Glencoe are all within reach of Drumnadrochit. Skiing, snowboarding, snowblading....after a slow start 2005/2006 turned out to be a good winter.
 Fishing on Loch Ness
Bruce Wynne will take you out on the Loch in a 27ft traditional Whitby cobble boat. He is an experienced, knowledgeable guide who can also supply fishing tackle.

Golf
Torvean Golf Club, Glenurquhart Road, Inverness IV3 8JN (on the road into Inverness, just before the canal). 18 holes. To book, telephone 01463 711434. Clubs and trolleys can be hired. There's also a 9 hole course at Aigas.
Walking
The Great Glen Way traverses Glen Urquhart at Drumnadrochit. There is a local network of signed paths in the village. Glen Affric is great walking country too.
